London got bombed again. Apparently it was nothing major, ie: no major casualties, but its enough of a reminder to show the police and Tony Blair that it could happen again. A scary thought. I wonder though, what can be done about it? I mean, short of the racial profiling that's going on the US, there's nothing that can be effectively done to make these places safer. It would be like trying to keep a bomb out of the Calgary Stampede ... how would it be done? This is another reason why the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq bother me ... its because they are not really solving the problem at hand, n'est pas? The "issue" is terrorism but they are using military techniques to solve the problem. Does getting rid of Saddam Hussien get rid of the terrorist problem? No, because the terrorists don't belong to the state ... they belong to themselves, and that's the point. Does fighting the Taliban army or the Iraqi National Guard mean something to getting to the root of terrorism? nope.
